OBJECTIVE

BCRTA needed Planeteria to design and implement a new website to enhance the user experience, simplify content management, and provide better information and customer service to users and potential users of the transit system. The emphasis is on incorporating extensive content management tools and database- driven architecture while providing a user-friendly and intuitive site structure as well as an interface that is attractive, accessible to people with disabilities (especially those with visual impairments) and offers users a choice of either English or other languages.    

SOLUTION

Planeteria provided project questionnaire, audience needs assessment, site map, wireframes, web style guide (colors/typography), mood-boarding, mock-ups, WordPress CMS, mobile responsive, hosting, and managed maintenance. BCRTA’s new website better serves all stakeholders and riders by integrating select functionality such as: live bus tracking, trip planner, routes, schedules, maps calendar, board meetings and job postings.

SERVICES PROVIDED

Site search functionality, real time information, DoubleMap live bus tracking API, GTFS schedules/maps, video embedding/streaming, site admin roles/permissions, document archive, procurement, online forms, news/announcements, social media integration, rotating banners of photos/video, ADA compliant, multilingual and Google Analytics.

SMART TRANSIT TOOLS

Transit operator websites require a specific set of functionality needs. This includes Schedules, Maps, Alerts, Real-Time and Trips, which we refer to as SMART Transit Tools.

BGO APP

BCRTA BGo is a ride-share service that will help residents travel more easily within Butler County, Ohio using public transit vehicles just like your other favorite ride-sharing services. Prime real estate on the home page is used to promote this app.
