BACKGROUND
The Atlantic County Utilities Authority (ACUA) owns and operates a Solid Waste complex in Egg Harbor Township, Atlantic County, NJ. The Solid Waste facility is home to an active landfill, a recycling center, composting site, and ancillary facilities. The Wastewater Treatment Facility has been in operation since 1978 and services 14 communities in Atlantic County.

THE PROJECT
The Atlantic County Utilities Authority was seeking a qualified web design firm to provide a redesign of ACUA’s external website and online store, www.acua.com, using the Kentico CMS platform. This includes, but is not limited to:

• Implementation and development of www.acua.com on the Kentico Ultimate Version 12 CMS platform
• Overall redesign of existing layout to be simpler and more user-friendly
• Responsive design – the new design should continue to be compatible for desktops, tablets and mobile phones and enhanced to highlight the most popular pages (Mobile views make up 62% of current visits).
• Improvements to the menu structure
• Alert feature/banner that can be implemented for holidays, weather and other service alert notifications
• New layout for online store, e-commerce implementation
• New layout for earth day festival pages
• New project page that will show active ACUA projects and provide updates on their status
• Connection between exiting third-party apps, such as Authorize.net and Microsoft Dynamics CRM

THE SOLUTION
Project questionnaire, audience needs assessment, site map, wireframes, web style guide (colors/typography), mood-boarding, mock ups, Kentico CMS, mobile responsive, hosting and managed maintenance.
