Kentucky Housing Corporation Launches Modern Housing Website

Kentucky Housing Corporation launched its redesigned website on June 18, 2026, giving Kentuckians a clearer, more modern way to find housing resources, manage accounts, access programs, and connect with KHC services. The new site supports homebuyers, renters, homeowners, partners, developers, landlords, service providers, and communities across the Commonwealth.
About Kentucky Housing Corporation
Kentucky Housing Corporation is the state housing finance agency and a political subdivision of the Commonwealth of Kentucky. Created by the General Assembly in 1972, KHC invests in quality housing solutions for families and communities across the state. Its programs help develop, preserve, and sustain affordable housing, with resources for homeownership, rental assistance, homelessness response, development, lending partners, and housing data.
Project Goals
- Replace KHC’s previous SharePoint-based website with a modern content management system that could support more than 100 pages, large document libraries, and long-term growth.
- Improve the user journey by organizing information around what visitors need to do, including finding housing, providing housing, managing a KHC account, or getting help.
- Create a mobile-friendly, accessible, easy-to-manage platform that supports content updates, publications, high-quality visuals, forms, embedded tools, and future communications needs.
- Help KHC communicate complex housing programs more clearly for homeowners, renters, homebuyers, lenders, developers, landlords, nonprofit partners, and residents facing housing instability.
Planeteria’s Solution
Planeteria delivered a flexible, public-sector website designed around KHC’s audiences and long-term communications goals. Built to support intuitive editing, mobile access, accessibility, document management, analytics, and scalable content, the site gives KHC staff a stronger foundation for managing programs, news, events, data, and resources. The redesign also reflects Planeteria’s experience with housing organizations and complex service-driven websites.
Key Features & Functionality
- Audience-based navigation for finding housing, providing housing, managing KHC services, and getting help.
- Prominent “Pay My Mortgage” access for current homeowners using KHC-serviced home loans.
- “I am a…” pathways for homeowners, homebuyers, renters, and partners.
- Featured program links for first-time homebuyers, down payment assistance, homebuyer education, and housing counseling.
- News and event modules highlighting Housing Acceleration updates, conferences, board meetings, and public notices.
- Data Library access for financial information, housing acceleration, K-Count results, and planning documents.
- Partner resources for lenders, real estate agents, developers, landlords, housing counselors, and service providers.
- Social media links, search access, contact information, open records, fraud reporting, procurement, and policy resources.
Project Highlights
A standout element of the new site is its shift from a traditional agency website into a service-oriented housing resource. Visitors can quickly self-identify by need, while KHC can still present a broad range of programs, partner tools, compliance resources, data, and public information. The homepage also elevates timely statewide initiatives, including Kentucky’s housing supply challenges and the 2026 Kentucky Affordable Housing Conference.
Looking Ahead
With the new website in place, KHC has a stronger digital platform to support evolving housing needs across Kentucky. The site can grow with new programs, resources, publications, and communications initiatives while giving staff a more sustainable way to manage content. Planeteria will continue supporting KHC through hosting, maintenance, training, quality assurance, and post-launch technical support.
