Planeteria Presents Alameda Housing Authority With New Home

September 15, 2022

Santa Rosa, CA, Release: September 15, 2022. For Immediate release

BACKGROUND
The Housing Authority of the City of Alameda, or The Alameda Housing Authority (AHA), was originally formed in the 1940s and managed over five thousand properties for the Naval Air Station. While most of those locations were demolished at the end of World War Two, AHA was eventually revived and now services nearly 845 affordable, low-income homes. Already bursting at the seams, the existing website was not up to the challenges of rapid expansion.

THE PROJECT
When you deal with public trust, you need total transparency and accessibility. AHA requires the display of legal notices, meetings, and meeting minutes archives, an engaging and informative system to display properties, showcase what sites are in development, and create a home for RFPs, RFQs, and other official propositions. Not only does the Alameda Housing Authority require a robust, dynamic system to manage its properties, but it has to be easy to use and allow for growth: By 2030, an additional 700+ sites are to be added.

THE SOLUTION
Interview, mood board, collaborative site mapping, style guide, page designs, content migration, stewardship, and migration. Server and CMS setup, template creation, and design. Pre-launch quality testing, post-launch user feedback, “hyper-care monitoring,” and hands-on and video training library.

FUNCTIONALITY
Warm and inviting pages contain everything a would-be renter, wanna-be landlord, or other interested parties could need. Pages invite exploration and are ready for additional properties. While we always hold accessibility to the highest standard, AHA is equipped with the maximum possible widgets and subpages to make even the most differently-abled individual feel welcome.
