Alamo Area Council of Governments Goes Live With New Site

Santa Rosa, CA, Release: July 26, 2022. For Immediate release
BACKGROUND
Remember the Alamo, but don’t forget the beautiful and historic area which surrounds it, either. Deep in the heart of south-central Texas are the thirteen counties that comprise the AACOG service area. AACOG’s mission is to improve the quality of life for the people in their area of The Lone Star State.
THE PROJECT
Juggling the diverse needs of inner Texas was always going to take a lot of work, but implementing Drupal would make it manageable. Thirteen counties over thousands of square miles require a robust content management system to achieve everyone’s collective vision. Part advisory body and part regional resource management site, AACOG requires multiple nested digital solutions.
THE SOLUTION
Custom design, development, and simplification of existing overly complex content, Drupal CMS with a Gutenburg plugin making editing pages work like WordPress, hands-on training, server hosting and managed maintenance, multi-device flexibility, beta-testing changes, and post-launch user-generated feedback edits, “Hyper-care” monitoring, and video training library.
FUNCTIONALITY
Eye-catching and easy-to-use pages filled with accessible graphics and content, readily managed regional service lists, news, meetings, and archives, site admin functionality, full compliance with ADA standards, and a broad accessibility menu.
