Lane Transit Launches Modern, Accessible Website

Lane Transit District (LTD) has launched its redesigned website, LTD.org, marking a major step forward in digital accessibility and rider experience. The new site serves the greater Eugene–Springfield community with a modern, mobile-friendly platform that simplifies trip planning, real-time updates, and access to essential transit information.

About Lane Transit District

LTD is the public transportation provider for Lane County, Oregon, connecting residents across 87 square miles of urban area and 482 square miles of surrounding communities. Guided by its mission of Connecting our Community and its values of respect, integrity, innovation, equity, safety, and collaboration, LTD provides equitable, sustainable mobility options through its bus and EmX rapid transit services.

Planeteria delivered a fully responsive, ADA-compliant website built on an open-source CMS, empowering LTD staff to easily manage content without technical barriers. The design emphasizes clarity, mobility, and inclusivity—offering an intuitive experience for riders of all abilities. Integrated with Pantheon’s secure hosting and equipped with WCAG 2.1 AA standards, the new site ensures long-term scalability, security, and performance.

Project Highlights

The site combines modern design with advanced functionality through Planeteria’s TransitX suite—providing riders a seamless way to plan trips, check arrivals, and access service alerts in real time. Internally, LTD teams now have greater flexibility to publish updates and manage content through an intuitive administrative interface.
