Mendocino Land Trust Launches New Site
Santa Rosa, CA, Release: May 2, 2022. For Immediate release
BACKGROUND
The mission of the Mendocino Land Trust (MLT) is to conserve and restore valuable natural resources of the Mendocino County region. It is dedicated to providing public access to the coast and protecting working farmlands and forests, wildlife habitat, open space, scenic vistas and watersheds. They are a nonpolitical, nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization that works all across Mendocino County and in part of Lake County. A small group of engaged community members started the Mendocino Land Trust as a kitchen-table organization back in the mid-1970s. The Land Trust has grown into a professional, nationally accredited organization with an amazing network of board members, staff, volunteers, supporters and partners who have contributed to an impressive list of projects and accomplishments.
THE PROJECT
MLT required website design development, implementation, hosting, testing, security and introductory training for custom-built features. Planeteria was hired to create a new website in order to: communicate more effectively; engage the public on projects that involve community input; and help promote and market ongoing activities. MLT had a preference to use a proven content management system and selected WordPress because of its ease of use for content administrators.
THE SOLUTION
Project questionnaire, WordPress CMS, mobile responsive, hosting and managed maintenance.
SERVICES PROVIDED
Site search functionality, donation functionality, interactive maps, projects, site admin roles/permissions, document archive, procurement, permits, employment, online forms, news/announcements, social media integration, rotating banners of photos/video, ADA compliant, multilingual and Google Analytics.
