New Transit Website for Cape Cod Regional Transit Authority

BACKGROUND
The Cape Cod Regional Transit Authority (CCRTA), is one of 15 Regional Transit Authorities within the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and has been providing public transportation services since 1976 to residents and visitors as well as consumers of state agencies and human service organizations for all 15 Cape Cod communities. Scheduled route service consists of seven year-round lines covering every town on mainland Cape Cod and has an annual ridership of over 550,000.

THE PROJECT
The partnership between CCRTA and Planeteria included a newly redesigned transit website with transit specific features that allow riders to easily plan trips on public transit, sign up for SMS text alerts, view routes and schedules and much more. Planeteria also provided photography services to ensure unique, original photography was displayed throughout the website.

THE SOLUTION
WordPress CMS, custom visual design, mobile responsive, hosting and managed maintenance.

FUNCTIONALITY
Site search functionality, interactive route maps, SMS text alerts, GTFS integration, site admin roles/permissions, document archive, procurement, permits, employment, online forms, news/announcements, social media integration, rotating banners of photos/video, ADA compliant, multilingual and Google Analytics.
